2022-23 IGNITE VB Tryout Info

Get excited!!! It’s almost time for club tryouts!!! We are looking forward and ready to IGNITE some awesome players and teams during this great VB club season!!!

Tryouts are also used for team placement. We do have cuts, but we try very hard not to cut in our younger age groups considering this may be the first time these players play competitive volleyball.

Please click the following link to determine which age group you fall under for your tryout date & time posted below. Please attend the appropriate age group tryout. We will determine if players need to be moved among age groups.

Tryout Dates and Times:

10U,11U,12U – Saturday, Oct 22nd 8:30-10:00pm

13U & 14U – Saturday, Oct 22nd 11:00am-1:30pm 
The 10U-14U tryouts will be held at PARKVIEW BAPTIST SCHOOL – Middle School Gym (5750 Parkview Church Rd. Baton Rouge, LA 70816).

15U – Sunday, Nov 12th (players will attend 1 session)

• Session 1: 8:30-10:00am
• Session 2: 10:00-11:30am 

16U – Sunday, Nov 12th (players will attend 1 session)

• Session 1: 12:30-2:00pm
• Session 2: 2:00-3:30pm 

17U – Sunday, Nov 14th (players will attend 1 session)

• Session 1: 4:00-5:30pm
• Session 2: 5:30-7:00pm

The 15U, 16U, 17U tryouts will be held at the IGNITE gym (17374 Vallee Ct, Prairieville, LA 70769).

**See make-up days and times below. If a 2nd evaluation is needed for the 13U &/or 14U age group, it will be Sunday, Nov 6th; time TBA through email. If a 2nd evaluation is needed for the 15U &/or 16U age group, it will be Thursday, Nov 17th; time TBA through email.

Team Placement:  Players will be notified by email if they have made a team or if they are invited back for a 2nd tryout by the following Wednesday of tryouts. This email may or may not come from the player’s coach. Team placement for players WILL continue beyond tryouts to ensure we have placed all players with their appropriate experience and ability level.

Club Position Acceptance: Players will receive an invitation email to join our club. Players will accept their positions by following the instructions given through email regarding making first payments online on the date and time provided.

1st Official Team Practice: Players will be notified by email of the date, time, and place.
**Practices this year will be held at both Parkview Baptist School and the Ignite VB Club Facility.

MAKE-UP TRYOUTS for 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U will be Tuesday, Oct 25th from 6:30-7:30pm at the Ignite Gym. Please follow all instructions with forms to be filled out through links provided. Fees and Forms must be filled out by noon the day of the make-up tryout. All procedures will be the same as the main tryouts. Please keep in mind for optimal showcase of the players’ skills and knowledge, it is HIGHLY recommended the player make every effort to attend the original tryout above. The makeup tryout is harder for us to compare your child to other players when placing them with their appropriate skill level.
